Guinea Pig Care: The Queerest Pet

About the Workshop

Presenters: Luka Brown (he/they)

Youth Led

Level: Beginning

For: Both middle school and high school students

Description: I will be going over a brief history of Guinea pigs, as well as a lengthy summary of their care, including enclosures (sizing, construction, etc.), bedding/substrate, dietary needs, and upkeep. My goal is to give people enough insight to determine whether or not this is the appropriate animal for them.

About the Presenters

Luka Brown (he/they)Luka is a 16 year old artist living in Santa Cruz. They are happy to have gotten the opportunity to not only be a part of queer spaces, but to also help make them. He is excited to get the chance to teach others about their special interests, such as Guinea pigs, and encourage people to properly care for them as well.
