Description:
This caucus is a support meeting to hear and be heard by the people in your community, and to discuss or share about your experiences surrounding coming out. Coming out can be a big expectation held on queer people, so we hope to provide a place where anyone can talk about what it’s been like for them coming out to a friend, family member, or colleague, or when they’ve been unable to do so for any reason.
About the FacilitatorsI’m Conner Prete, president of Aptos High Schools Rainbow Alliance. I’m great at knowing what types of things to write in bios, and I heavily enjoy live theater. Currently, I’m in a Shakespeare production! I’m queer, disabled, trans, and excited to be given a chance to contribute to my community. This is my third year participating in the Queer Youth Summit, I’ve volunteered before in 2022 and 2023, and I’m glad to be back this year.
