Digital NEST Intro: What skills & roles does it take to create a music festival?

About the Workshop

Presenter: Yazmin Herrera (She/Her)
Adult Led
Level: Beginning
For: Both High School & Middle School Students
Description: Let’s inspire each other to learn new things and recognize all the skills we already have! It takes a whole team of people to create something like a summit or any other big event that requires you to think about logistics, marketing, technology, etc. Today, we are going to start the process of imagining a music festival we would all love to go to and learn about how you can gain all the skills you need to create one at the NEST.

About the Presenter

Yazmin Herrera (She/Her)
Digital NEST
Bio: Yazmin Herrera is currently the Director of Programs at Digital NEST. The best part of her job is knowing that her work is helping the instructors she supervises be better at their jobs, get paid for what they do, and they are inspiring youth every day. Sometimes, she misses working directly with youth and feels very lucky when she gets to do that. She loves helping people find their spark and to see the fire inside them get bigger and bigger.
