Description: This workshop will cover the general topic of Mental Health within the young LGBTQ+ community and expand to cover how that may affect those in communities of Latinos/POC. It will focus on how we can build acceptance within a resilient community of youth.

About the Presenter

Carlos Joel González (he/him) is a local student, performer, and leader within Santa Cruz County. He has been involved with various local projects, including the Queer Youth Leadership Awards at Scotts Valley High School and Empower Watsonville, a youth led organization that emphasizes the importance of mental health. He wishes to share his knowledge of culture and mental health, as well as experiences that regard many within the Central Coast Community.
