About the Caucus

For: High school students
Description: This caucus will offer an opportunity for students to discuss topics related to bisexuality, including the history of the identity and vocabulary around it, their personal experiences, and questions they have about bisexuality or what it means to be bisexual. The caucus will be discussion-based, and all students with any curiosity about bisexuality are welcomed to contribute their thoughts and feelings regardless of their experience with the topic.
About the Presenters
Daphne Johnson (any pronouns) is a member of the Queer Youth Task Force Summit Planning Committee, as well as the president of their school’s Queer-Straight Alliance. Having open queer spaces is very important to them, since those spaces have allowed them to develop a stronger sense of self and of community over the last few years. This summit, they look forward to leading a caucus on bisexuality and seeing other queer youth enjoy the space they’ve helped create.
