Description: Identity exploration can be exciting and an overwhelming journey for some. The Queer Trans Youth Collective is here to help you explore LGBTQ+ identities through characters with the help of Dungeons & Dragons (DnD). Dungeons & Dragons allows you to be whatever and whoever, you can be a Bisexual Half-Elf, a Lesbian Orc, or a Queer Capybara! Join our judgment-free and community-focused workshop to learn more about making your own character, the benefits of playing DnD, and how it can help you with your own identity adventure!

About the Presenters 

Angela Soto Cerros (they/them & elle/ella) is a Salinas resident and identifies as Non-binary, Queer, and uses they/them and elle/ella pronouns in Spanish. They are a Hispanic, first-generation university graduate from CSU Monterey Bay, and a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ education and LGBTQ+ youth issues. 

Apollo Turner  (Any pronouns & cat Neopronouns) is a Hispanic and Asian Salinas resident, identifying as Transgender, Genderfluid, a Lesbian, and uses any pronouns. Apollo is part of the Queer Trans Youth Collective under the Our Gente Program of The Epicenter of Monterey. He attends Hartnell College and majors in animation and illustration;, portraying hope and growth in his writing and art.
