About the Workshop 

Presenters: Itzamar Carmona Felipe (they/them) and Kaede Coronado-Acuna (they/them/theirs)

For: Both middle and high school students

Description: In this interactive workshop, you will gain a better understanding of the different elements of a GSA/LGBTQ+ Club! Come learn tips on setting up strong meetings, how to connect with other youth, gain skills and ideas in outreach, member support, and team-building activities. Join the fun, and don’t miss out!

About the Presenters 

Itzamar Carmona Felipe (they/them) grew up in unceded Lisjan Ohlone Land (Oakland, California) after migrating from Guerrero, Mexico. Throughout high school, they began community organizing and continued movement work during their undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz. They currently work with GSA Network as the Northern California Regional Organizer. 

Kaede (they/them) is the Regional Organizer for the Central Valley of CA with GSA Network. Originally from the SoCal area, Kaede moved to Fresno at a young age and started doing community organizing in high school when they joined GSA Network’s Central Valley Youth Council as a youth trainer. After graduating high school, they attended Fresno City College and received an AA in Chicano Latino Studies.
