Bay Federal Credit Union Volunteers — Fall 2022 Student Summit — Saturday, October 8
The Safe Schools Project of Santa Cruz County is proud to partner with Bay Federal Credit Union to help make the Fall 2022 Queer, Trans & Allied Student Summit of the Central Coast on Saturday, October 8 at Watsonville High School in Watsonville run smoothly.
Volunteers are key to our success and we thank you in advance for your time, work and energy.
Bay Federal Volunteer Options from 7:15 am – 11:15 am include:
- Volunteer Host/Greeter
Greet and check in all volunteers, guest speakers, and workshop presenters. - Registration Set up & Check-in
Set up name badges, registration, etc. Registration check-in and assist students with their correct name badge and print any last minute registration name tags. - Decorations
Decorate the entrance, Resource Fair and classrooms. Post signage directing attendees to parking, venue, and bathrooms. - Breakfast Set Up & Snack Table Team
Help decorate and set up the food buffet with breakfast foods and snacks. Make sure there is plenty of food and supplies accessible. Maintain Snack Table. - Goodie Bags Distribution
Help students receive their goodie bags and correct flag enamel pin corresponding to their registration response. - Hall monitors
Welcome ceremony & workshop session #1 begins. Assigned hall monitors assist students with navigating the school campus (ie: workshops, restrooms).

The Safe Schools Project, a program of the Queer Youth Task Force, sponsors the annual student summit in collaboration with the Queer & Trans Youth Council of Santa Cruz County, Watsonville High School Sexuality and Gender Acceptance (SAGA) student club, Santa Cruz County Office of Education (SCCOE), Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD), Santa Cruz City Schools (SCCS), United Way of Santa Cruz County and additional organizers.
