Join the Anonymous LGBTQ & A with Q-MIT (The Queer Middle School Improvement Team)! This workshop is open for all middle school aged youth who are interested in brainstorming new ideas to make a difference in their community and having fun together! This workshop will allow your voices to be heard while connecting with other teens through a safe and fun snowball fight! Come snowball your ideas off of us - literally!
About the Presenters
Hi, my name is Chris Garcia and I am the Regional Program Specialist at The Diversity Center. I am also honored to be a co-facilitator of Q-MIT, the Queer Middle School Improvement Team, a leadership council partnered with Friday Night Live, for LGBTQ+ and allied youth. I am passionate about creating accessible and affirming spaces for all ages and I look forward to collaborating on this work through Q-MIT! I also love exploring and admiring nature, playing soccer and basking in Queer Joy with community.
