Description: Do you have any untold stories and experiences that probably shaped your life in a meaningful way? The Unbox Me workshop will introduce students to the Unbox Me activity, which is intended to shed light on these often untold stories and experiences. The workshop will include two activities that cultivate empathy for LGBTQIA+ experiences and practice positive affirmation of their identities. If you are planning on attending the workshop, we encourage you to start thinking about some of the meaningful items you might have.
About the Presenters
Hongyi Wen (he/him/his)
Hongyi Wen grew up in Guangzhou, China, and he recently finished his sociology undergrad degree at UC Santa Cruz. Hongyi is currently working as the campaign coordinator for the Trans Teen Project, and he is passionate about amplifying the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community.
